The International Academy for Architectural Landscape Lighting has created a comprehensive design program unequaled in the industry. The IAALL believes quality to be more than just a professional goal; it is the driving force behind each design. EDUCATION/TRAINING (back to top)
The International Academy for Architectural Landscape Lighting is the only organization to offer education and training solely dedicated to the art of low-voltage landscape lighting. Each Academy member has completed a comprehensive education and training program which starts at the most basic level and culminates in a thorough understanding of the mechanics of lighting as it impacts our surroundings.
IAALL members have the unique opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field by attending seminars, symposia and conferences addressing such relevant subjects as: energy conservation, electrical engineering, photometry, psychology and architecture.
IAALL members are certified in various techniques based on their successful completion of different training programs.
The Academy offers multiple degree-level certifications:
Certified Lighting Installer. Emphasis: Water Feature Lighting, Moonlighting, System Controls.
Certified Lighting Designer. Emphasis: Residential & Commercial.
All education and training employ a variety of instructional methodology including lectures, laboratory sessions, hands-on experimentation and individual member projects and presentations.

When selecting materials for installation of VisionScape© projects, members of The International Academy for Architectural Landscape Lighting have one priority: quality. All members must abide by the Academy’s Standards of Installation which specify that all materials used are to include a Lifetime Warranty.
Our members stand apart from the competition by installing materials that have stood the threefold tests of time, weather and everyday wear and tear. Electrical transformers and fixtures are of durable stainless steel, brass or copper construction. Low-voltage cable is UV rated for outdoor use and the wiring connections use brass lugs with protective lubricant to guard against the ravages of moisture and soil.

Up until now there has not been a governing body to set standards for the installation of architectural grade low-voltage lighting. Thus, the Standards for Installation set by the International Academy for Architectural Landscape Lighting are unprecedented in the industry.
It is our conviction for excellence that both informs and sets our standards. Our members adhere to the Standards for Installation as part of their pledge to the Code of Conduct. Project owners can be assured that their VisionScape© project will be installed according to the Academy’s standards, ensuring optimum performance and guaranteeing priceless peace of mind.

From installation practices to ethical conduct in the field, the International Academy for Architectural Landscape Lighting strongly believes in setting the gold standard. Every IAALL member is bound to conduct their business according to the IAALL’s Code of Ethics.

Each IAALL member offers you a Lifetime Warranty VisionScape© Protection Plan with every installed project. As a VisionScape© owner you can select from the Platinum or Platinum Plus plans. Both are Lifetime Warranty programs offering various levels of safeguard to your investment.
The Platinum Protection Plan is unique in the industry in that it offers regular scheduled maintenance visits every pre-scheduled number of hours of operation and a comprehensive maintenance tune-up at 6,400 hours of operation.
The Platinum Plus Protection Plan offers additional pre-scheduled maintenance visits as well as custom alterations.

WARRANTY (back to top)
The International Academy for Architectural Landscape Lighting extends a warranty to cover all VisionScape© projects. The Academy certifies all installations by reviewing all documentation submitted by our installation professional.
IAALL Installers adhere to the Standards of Installation which demand that thorough documentation of all transformers, wire runs and connection points be generated in a comprehensive package and submitted to the Academy for review and approval. A copy is presented to the project owner for his/her records.
This warranty program ensures that IAALL members install systems according to the Academy’s Standards of Installation. It also protects the VisionScape© owner from any potential problems.

The Academy is committed to educating and producing the most competent low voltage lighting professionals in the industry. Our expertise is predicated on solid foundations: years in the business combined with plenty of hands-on experience. We translate this knowledge into action via our certification process.
